Qubino ZMNHBD1, one relay not working anymore...

Messagepar Horia » 30 Jan 2022 15:47

Hi,

In one room I have an ZMNHBD1, and after 5 years one of the relays doesn't work anymore either by Zwave+ control or manual switch. It stays on, even after a power reset. I can hear the click but does not turn off, Zwave reports it off though.

The other relay on the other side works fine by both control models. Anybody experienced something like this, what was the conclusion?

I assume I have to replace the whole module, but the Zwave+ control works, hence how shall I proceed, disconnect physically and next run ZWFailedNode and ZWReplaceNode commands?

Thanks for inputs, Horia

From an old thread, the procedure should be feasible...

1. débrancher le module en défectueux / brancher le nouveau module
2. commande Z-Wave : COMMAND_CLASS_NO_OPERATION => TRANSMIT_COMPLETE_NO_ACK
3. commande Z-Wave : ZW_IS_FAILED_NODE => Node is failed
4. commande Z-Wave : Replace failed node

But I am still struggling to understand why the relay failed...It could be the number of on/off transactions, but in other areas of home, I have relays that suffer the same, it could be the time being on and this is most dominant pretty much 12h/day, it could be just bad luck...

Thoughts?

Thanks, Horia

Dear All,

Today i received a new relay and re-included as failed node.

Everything works fine, excepting the physical notifications from the switch. Wiring is fine, while both switches buttons work, SW release on Qubino is more evolved than what I had in past, hence seems to be a eedomus and Zwave re inclusion under failed node problem.

Anybody has noticed this?

Thanks, and best regards, Horia

I think it's necessary to reset the factory settings and run the ZWReplaceNode command. The updates need to be correct otherwise it will be difficult to get scratch games Zwave to work.
